My adaptive headlights now work as BMW intended. Huge kudos to V12 who spent the last month going through and comparing UK vs. US modules and code line by line to find out what was needed.
It is simply amazing how these lights now work... on the highway, the brights cycle and move through about 5 different patterns as the beams are steered around oncoming traffic and slower traffic ahead of you -- there is rarely a time when there isn't some form of high beam on. For those wondering, the standard US default only uses the front camera to toggle the high beams on or off automatically. With proper coding, this is what a M5 with adaptive LEDs can do:

@v12 - will you be sharing the coding necessary to get this going?

@dhirm5: Hi - I went about this in a different way than removing 5AP and 8S4 from the VO. I am not ready to share my method though.
Please get my number from these guys if you would like to discuss personally. |

I have been running for about a week now with no problems. I had a long night drive last night w/ no back ground lights and a few other cars to test the system. It works really well. Impressed. Thanks again V12.

Great. My car was one of the few others that were giving him headaches on this. Hopefully he has a fix now.
As an aside, total props to V12. He is a great guy and has given me great service. I highly recommend him for anyone doing any coding. I also highly recommend the coding itself - it has opend up some nice features.

I have - 2014 M5 RHD UK Competition model with LED's.
These work exactly as detailed in the video. Am happy to help but don't know the first thing about coding! |

Hey V12, I have the 2014 5 with the Adaptive LED headlights... I wanted to see if it was possible to get the full European functionality by coding it like you did? Do you know how I can get it done?

We are trying to crack No-Glare headlights functionally for f06/F10.
Seems the steps that work for F3x/F15 did not work well F06/F10. I need an owner with EU spec F10 with LED willing to share the configuration of ECUs. Thanks, |

In general, does anyone really know how to correctly code F10?
Seems whatever is known so far for F10 is not true. There is a long thread about it here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...660719&page=41, can read from #1024 post. In short, even after removing 5AP and 8S4 from from VO, changing car type to ECE, and coding whole car under that spec will not enable correct No Glade headlight functionality. The expected black square box surrounding the car in front will still be missing. anyone here who has done it correctly and can claim that his car works are expected? Just had my second M5 coded by V12 and I can tell you he knows how to code every aspect of the car. It all just works. He provides a quality experience and makes it very easy. He's a nice guy, too. Highly recommended. I can share his contact information to anyone interested.
