Quite the opposite
I just sold this F350 6.0PSD Crew Cab Long Bed 4X4 for the 2006 330i 6MT.
Two totally different vehicles and for me the e90 is my style. I bought the truck for a landscape job that ended up falling through. Needless to say, that was not a good daily driver. |

How did you like the 6.0? I've read some bad things about that motor. I'm going to be in the market for Diesel Super Duty soon, and I need to decide 7.3L vs. 6.0L.

For trouble free miles 7.3 hands down, it pains me to say that, I have a 6.0 now. The 7.3 is a less refined engine, but it just keeps making noise and working. I have seen several with between 300,000 and 400,000 miles with no major problems (clutches, and a turbo here and there). My 6.0 has had a HPFP (sound familiar around here?) problem, and a turbo rebuild and a bunch of sh*t that goes with both of those things, at under 50,000 miles estimate was $5,200 for the repairs but the fleet guy was good to my and it only cost $3,800. |

One side note. They lose value quickly, especially in this economy. I thought having the diesel and its configuration would hold value. I quickly found how fast something that gets that mileage can lose its value. |

wow....well I want to get another truck. It comes in really good handy when I need to get stuff for my car (hood, trunk, wheels, tires) just throw it all in the back. I had a 05 TRD Supercharged Tacoma XRunner and LOVED IT!!! And I got as many compliments on that truck as I have on my car if not more. Power was great, good gas mileage, comfortable, and if you drove behind me you could still see what was in front of me
sorry so big cant edit pic at work |

love trucks, will always have one.
Have a '99 GMC Sierra Z71, 181k miles and going strong. Use the hell out of it for hunting, off roading, trips, construction, etc. its my beater now, and it can take it. When it finally dies I'll get a GMC w Duramax, you cant beat that engine. Total beast mode.

I am actually considering trading my 1er for a Ford Raptor. Those trucks are just simply amazing and would be very practical in a sense of hauling my four wheeler around and for trails. Any current owners of Raptors want to chime in on how they like the truck long-term?

People that drive huge ass trucks for the novelty of it ARE the problem with the world. One word, selfish. I understand if you are a working man and need the truck to perform your job but in my experience that has got to be <15% of truck owners I've met. So glad to no longer be in Texas where that selfish attitude has completely taken over and everyone and their mom drives an overly large truck for no reason other than "why not? free country" and perhaps some false sense of manhood. As far as europeans all wishing they had trucks you have got to be out of your fucking mind. The only trucks here are the VERY few for the working man and they are half the size of the trucks I've seen in the states being driven by teenagers and moms alike. Good luck trying to even drive one of those bohemoths in Europe as they wont even fit on the streets. And complaining about gas prices? Americans have no right to even consider that. But like it was already mentioned here, the American mindset is already so fucked there is no hope to change that. Well there is my 2 cents... /rant

^^You seriously have a closed mind. If you've reached a point where trucks bother you that much...you have been brainwashed beyong saving. Why the hell would you care what someone drives?
And how do you know what they're using the truck for? You assume you know...but you don't. And have you considered how much better they are now as far as gas mileage/etc? I had my truck in Germany and I saw plenty around. When I put my truck up for sale, I had sooo many Europeans that wanted it. And it sold quick to a German. They want them...they just don't have the access or the money for them like we do. And as far as gas prices? So we can't complain huh? Why? Just because the European continent has insane gas taxes? So we should live like them huh....why the hell should we care what they're doing? BTW, the U.S. is MUCH bigger. When gas prices skyrocket FOR NO REASON...the prices of EVERYTHING go up. And we get no warning of this. So I'd say that's a good reason to complain. And another thing...as far as driving....what about the big trucks that drive around over there? Gas trucks/supply trucks/etc.? If it's such a nightmare, then why do the Europeans still use them? They have to drive through all the towns just like everyone else. Somehow they're able to get around. To me, brainwased people like you in this world really scare me. And there are more and more like you. It'd be one thing if you could actually have a friendly, well spoken, articulate debate about strong opinions you have. But no, you sould like a typical crazy left person who's brainwashed and thinks the European way of the world is the only way. It's to the point where you hate people who drive trucks. Seriously man...take a step back....take a deep breath and THINK about these things a little longer...and maybe you'll realize you're not always right...

Damn, I don't think I ever posted pics of my "Recreation" truck I bought after I did this thread. I FUCKING love it. I use the shit out of it. I use it to haul shit when I do work on the house. I use it for vacations. I use it to bring shit home that I buy at the store. And I use it for RECREATION A LOT. Why the fuck would ANYONE CARE? Yee-haw! to you motherfucking truck haters! God Bless Texas! Land of the truck!

I had my Raptor for a little more than a year. By far the best 4x4 truck I have owned. Great driving, decent power (6.2L), Synch system, etc. The biggest downfall is the size. The extra width is an issue. It drives much smaller than it is but as soon as you need to park the size is a big issue. It won't fit in most parking garages, parking lot spaces are extremely tight, and street parking is risky. After a year I ended up selling mine. The good part is I sold it for what I paid(I paid Ford employee pricing).

[QUOTE=swanson;12539724]I just traded in my Z06 for a new Raptor just over 2 months ago and I love it. Its obviously totally different from the vette, but I've always wanted one and needed a truck as i am gonna get a boat. Its rides very nicely and is very comfortable. Its looks amazing in person. You can see everyone get out of your way when you're coming down the road because its very imposing on the street. I love it! You should stop by fordraptorforum.com. Great site. Tons of info and everyone is cool there. Here are some pics:
Thanks for the pics! Your raptor is exactly what I want, absolutely gorgeous truck you have there! What year is yours and do you have the 6.2L V8?

Yea, I knew they had the 5.4L V8 at sometime. I just wasn't sure when. Nice to know though, I would have to have the 6.2L V8!
