What are you calculating for total cost? I'm seriously considering having mine built now and swapping the DCT for the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. Watching your build closely!

I am trying to retain normal driveability so it's not an all out race motor.
The guys under Steve building this motor donthr LeMans engines so they are quite experienced with BMW motors. It's not sleeved so there are many tricks with the Alusil liners used, piston coatings etc. Last edited by allmotor_2000; 05-21-2018 at 04:21 PM.. |

Cant wait for more progress on this. 1200HP to the wheels will be a hell of alot of get up and go... keeping the drivability will be an added bonus

Update:
Motor is done and ready for install! Will schedule the swap shortly once the turbo kit is complete. Rods, Pistons, calico coated bearings, Dinan ported heads, Dinan cams, blue printed and balanced. |

Exciting! Do they drop it in with a hoist, or lift it in from the bottom? Transmission attached or is that done after? I hope everything in the power train holds up for you! Pictures if you can, please!
