You don't have to drive up to Yosemite and that place you stayed on 140? I dunno about Winter and that white stuff tho but I'm moving over to Quattro which helps.

Foliage season is awesome in New England. Much better to be a native there than to visit as a tourist. You get to enjoy the season longer and in places with no crowds.

Your previous river pic reminds me of the Saco River in NH and ME., We used to camp along it every summer when I was a kid

One of my favorite life memories was flying into Portland Maine on my way to Bar Harbor in mid to late October. Absolutely gorgeous.

I need to remember to take a snap with my phone so I can remember where these rivers and such actually are! The Sony doesn't have a GPS in it, and sometimes they sit on the memory card for a while and when I finally get to working on the RAW, I don't recall where I took the shot! I can definitely say there are mostly taken in a 50 miles radius of Damariscotta.

Before my Fuji 100V (similar size as your Sony) fell into the water, I liked to use a small Lowepro (Portland 30) camera bag hanging on my belt. Sometimes I don't like the camera swinging from my neck.
