Mine also has the delivery stop. Will wait for it to play out a bit more but I'm not optimistic that it'll be a quick fix given the scale of the issue and what I presume to be a limited supply of whatever has to be replaced.

Sorry to hear your cars are being held. My car and 25 others were held in April at the VPC for over a month, due to a detailed and time intensive chain tensioner campaign, what ever that is.. After about three weeks I persuaded my dealer to reach out to the VPC and see what they could do. I was told there was not enough qualified mechanics at the VPC to handle the back log and the cars had been prioritized on who was at the front of the line. My dealer was able to get my car moved up and a week later I had my car. If your car is being held I suggest the same method, after all, someone has to get fixed first. The bad news is several weeks after delivery my car was back at the dealer correcting an error made at the VPC. The good news is my car in now perfect and I love it. Now that it's over it was worth the wait but is was impossible waiting. Hang in there, it's worth it!

if your are saying 25 cars, ^^ and that taking am month, imagine that on a MUCH larger scale. Basically we aren't getting our cars till 2017.
I'm already in talks with the dealer to get me one they have. But i want BMW to eat the shipping costs. I have to spend another 1400-2k just to get it here to the west coast, since now i can't do PCD. |
