Guys,
I'm going to buy the regular 19" wheels that comes standard on the car if you don't get the 20"s; not the winter wheels. Can anyone point me in the direction of the best price from a dealer in the US that includes the TPMS sensors? Btw, what is the BMW official designation for them again? TIA, Bish |

http://www.getbmwparts.com/ It's the online-only affiliate of Tischer BMW in Maryland (also separate from the dealership parts department). I ordered a set of the model 408 winter wheels from these guys ($2,150 for the set pre tax and shipping) and a TPMS/Valve Stem set ($325 pre tax and shipping). Great customer service as well - 2 of the wheels were damaged and they processed the return quickly with no hassles.

I would contact Manny at BMW of Roxbury as well, I originally found them off their Roundel ad. They are selling the pre-made set (tires, TPMS, and 408M wheels) for a very good price.
Part numbers - fronts 36-11-222-0678 rears 0679 that's for the set that is premounted tires, tpms, 408M wheels Or if you want to do it yourself I think they'll give you a very strong price on just the rims or rims and sensors 973-627-7999 manny.assuncao@openroad.com Last edited by ucla95; 11-16-2012 at 10:54 AM.. |

Ill keep everyone posted as to how things go and post some pics when the wheels get onto the car (assuming I can find a day where the roads are clean enough to actually drive the car into the dealership with my summers). |

That would be one sick set of wheels ... btw, I thought you're going to park your M5 for the winter and go with X5 as your winter daily drive.
Do post your Arkym ... thanks ! Quote:

I have it parked right now until I get the wheels on and I do drive the X5M when the weather is really bad, but, I only drive it when I really have to because Im just not that much a fan of AWD. For most of this winter Ive been driving my E60. I really ought to do a review/comparison between the F10 and E60.

Bridgestone Blizzacks. They worked great on my E60 M5, so hopeful that they'll perform as well on the F10.
On the bus now heading to the track. So pumped!

Here in Europe you can get the Pilot Alpin PA4 in both 255/35/20 and 265/35/20, but with a W-speed rating.

Oh! Not again!
How come the other known Arkym set with 19" (as confirmed by PYSpeed) has positive fitment ? I do see that set has a much different offset, pehaps, HRE can use that offset instead. As for stock 19", you should consider buying them in the US, if you don't want to buy them in Canada. I prev. indicated Maranello BMW here in Ontario will sell and ship you the entire set. For the 345M with proper 19" f & r wheels, they are $3000 + 13% taxes (for Ont). If buying in US, after factoring in all duties, taxes, shipping, you would still save ... probably in the range of $400 -$500 (for set of 4) Quote:

I was working with PYSpeed to get this done, HRE sent them the wrong info. I was actually sort of surprised when they said it would work. From the picture it looks like the Arkym profile is a drop center. I dont think you can make a 19" drop center that has the inner clearance we require.

This has to be the most difficult case of buying aftermarket wheels you & I (perhaps others as well) have ever experienced.
At least you have a backup suv for winter use for now ! [QUOTE=deathray;13026258] Quote:

Another update for everyone following this saga: HRE has NO 19" profiles that will fit the F10 M5 (as far as I know, this includes the private labels they make as well), so, if anyone is selling you something HRE built and claiming otherwise, check and re-check.

Agree this is a major pain. It almost makes me think that 19" wheels are really not meant for this car.
I finally received my set of OEM 408m wheels with sottozeros. Not the most exciting wheels I've purchased but at least they fit!!!
