After owning a E60 M5 and F10 M5 (both modded) I'm going to give AMG a try. I'm selling my F10 next spring and will pick up a E63. It feels like the right time to try something new. I can always pick up a F90 in a few years after LCI

Too bad no one can get these cars yet in North America--- now delayed probably until October.
Its a 4600 lb handler (as proven on the Lightning Lap) and we all know it can go straight like no tomorrow. And then it has that amazing luxury inside. But damn there are Edition 1 cars that have been sitting at the port since April.

First E63s have began delivery here in Brazil. It is very well equipped as standard. Had a chance to ride passenger in one on our beloved Brazilian roads, and I can attest it does ride harshly. It rides like a E39 M5. It is no where near as harsh as an E60 M5, but even in Comfort the ride is a little busy. It rides like my M6 GC. Comparing Comfort to Comfort. In Sport Plus the E63 S is tuned for track use, very harsh ride although the M6 GC is also harsh in Sport Plus. Nevertheless it is nice to see that Mercedes has finally gone full out in the chassis. Definitely my M6 GC replacement when used ones start to show. I find it hard to believe that the M5 F90 will be a lot superior to this car. In fact I think they will be equally good, but Mercedes AMG has always had better reliability and customer service in Brazil, so it is a clear winner for me.

Next month's SA will have a supertest on the E63S, it will set the bar for the performance sedan segment, meanwhile BMW still have a few months to fine tune the F90 M5.
Can't wait. |
