I've got a question...
Looks like the OEM exhaust has heat shielding on the section near the differential/axles. The only full aftermarket systems which have something similar (better?) is wrapping on the Eisenmann and a small shield on the Akra. Any idea if there is a heat issue in that section of the car? Seals where the axle meets the diff? Non-issue? |

I could be wrong but that looks like an Innotech exhaust installed on the Black F10 M5. Checking now...

I don't know enough about turbo exhaust to know if it makes a difference or not, but your pictures show an exhaust with almost NO kinks or squishes in the tubing for the whole run, great work!
Is the welded on, second separated layer of metal on the tubing around the differential as effective, or more effective than some asbestos exhaust wrap in that area for reducing the radiated heat? If you eliminate, or run just a very minimal catalyst in the down pipe, is there any point to having the flapper valve in the one tube on each muffler? |

I'm a bit surprised that replacing the downpipes, mid-pipe, and rear section only netted an increase of less than 8 HP and 25 ft/lb of torque. Kind of seems a bit low for so much of the exhaust system being replaced. |
