The only disappointment i sense with this car will be the sound. The 4.4 TT in the X5/X6M didn't sound mean at all. Sounded like a VW GTI to be honest. Hope Akra and eisenmann can coax the V8 rumble out of that motor.

I like it. Awesome. Especially after loosing those chrome parts from the concept model.

Knowing the weight of this thing would be interesting. Below two tons?

The new body styling looks very '3 series' esq, dropped nose etc. It does have smatterings of the M3 too. I like it, but it needs a bonnet hump otherwise it just doesnt look 'M'ean enough

Me likey!
Two observations: 1. Its the first time with BMW I feel the predecessor doesn't look dated at all. 2. Am I the only one to notice this car shows more body roll than a 2CV when cornering hard? This aside, I think the M division did a great job and it will kick a$$, performance wise.

That front bumper looks so much like the current e9x m3. The m5 actually looks a lot better than I was expecting though. I really like it. As everyone else has said, that color looks great as well. Looks like Monte Carlo blue, which is one of my favorites from BMW.

From Insideline's X6M test
As tested Curb Weight (lb): 5,256 Test Results: 0 - 30 (sec): 1.7 0 - 45 (sec): 2.9 0 - 60 (sec): 4.3 0 - 75 (sec): 6.4 1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 12.6 0-60 with 1 foot of rollout (sec): 4.1 From the 0-60 time I can't see how the lighter ///M5 won't beat this by some margin. It looks beautiful and I love the M6-like wheels with a modern touch. Like what they've done with the engine aesthetics. Not overdone, just evil looking |
