Got mine too. Thanks Nate. They look great. Here was the total process of replacing my former IND kidneys: 1) put two hands between slats of left kidney and yank 2) repeat 1) on right kidney 3) insert new kidneys into open slots and push until clips engage. Total process time 90 seconds. No damage to kidney housings or replaced kidneys. Good luck to all |

well i don't think its wise to yank them but even more so on the LCI grills I don't think its wise to just yank out. The slats are much weaker than the non LCI, you'd break one easily.
Neil.

I might go this route on my Non-LCI grills, but at $205 for each LCI grill, Im not chancing it.

I understand the reluctance to try this and I shared it initially. But after looking at how the new grills are engineered and imagined what would happen with force applied, and how others have had success with the "incorrect" method, I gave it a shot. I was frankly stunned at how easy it was. I agree with other's statements that this is a higher risk method and so if you're looking for zero risk I wouldn't recommend it. All I know is that it worked for me. |

Just got mine from IND. Thanks Nate and Andrew!
I did the unscrew and go in through the top of the bumper method. It took me about 20 mins. It's easy once you find the bottom tabs.

I guess the wait is for the M5 LCI Performance grills, but it looks like Daans just ordered the standard M5 LCI grills.

Just installed my IND cosmetic package, very happy with the results
I didn't want to try the yank em out method, so I undid the torx fasteners and went in from the top of the bumper which was fairly easy. I had a person pulling lightly on the grilles as I as depressing the tabs and the process was pretty painless. Don't pay someone to do this, you can do it! Also, taking the grilles out gave me a chance to hit the hard to reach plastic behind the grille with some Adam's In and Out spray. |
