Buying Advise
I am helping a friend look for a F10, I have come here to ask. what should we be looking for whats the sweet spot and what are the issues we should look out for?
any help and guidance will be appreciated |

Just like any other car, after checking bodywork and electrics are fine listen to the engine and DCT operation also look at the service history.
These cars don't have an all in one service like lesser cars do and when the time comes up to do something like brake fluid or oil change every year you just pop it into dealer where he'll record and stamp the appropriate job in the service book. |

Full service history. Ideally Oil changed annually. See if the seller warms it up and cools it down on the test drive, it will give you an idea of how its been treated. A car like this isnt cheap to run, so make sure it has premium tyres on it, not budgets and check it all drives nicely. You could take a code reader with you like Bimmerlink and check it for hidden codes. Good luck with finding one!

A warranty is a must have from BMW otherwise you could face financial ruin. Sounds dramatic but its true.
You wont get a warranty from BMW if its ever been tuned so be warned. They maybe cheap cars to buy but if done properly they are not cheap cars to run. |
