Fuel filter

Another often forgotten item is the fuel filter for UK cars.
Mine was changed at 20,800 miles at BMW.With the
high fuel pressure in the lines perhaps it's advisable for dealer to
do this rather than DIY as there may be a procedure
bringing up the pressure without just turning the engine over.
Thinking the air lock until the fuel comes through may play havoc with the injection pump.

Didn't think the fuel filter was a serviceable part on UK cars? To my knowledge its built into the fuel lift pump.

On US cars it's inside the fuel tank,on UK cars it's under the floor pan roughly where the passengers seat is situated.

I removed my undertray a while back and theres nothing there. Contacted my dealer who said they don't list a fuel filter for it.

Dunno but that may have some bearing on it; have a look yourself on the sites you'll find a few of them there.Maybe it's somewhere else on yours.
