I dont have a good feeling about this. They missed their promised ship date. Seems they haven't finalized the production firmware. And because they took orders too early they have a massive backlog now. This could take a couple of months.

Cards not charged until it ships. He said they will start to ship next week... but looking at the back log he said mine prob wont ship until late july.

I called in to add the Live cord so I can test it on the portable before installing it on the STIR+ in the M5. Also I think Live is more valuable on a portable than on the M5 since i dont have laser jammers on a rental car so i need more advance notice of laser.

They said I should recieve my order mid-late July (I placed it June 14).

I doubt they will deviate from order sequence.

Maybe the agents didn't know and just guessed, or maybe he lied to me.

The Stir+ will be much better than the Max. Don't delay your install. The Max doesn't have band segmentation which means it won't compare against instant on or off axis detection.
