M6 F13 Competition vs M6 F06 No Competition

I have tested my F13 with 2014 M6 GranCoupe.
I hope this will explain everybody why competition package is worth its price...

btw: I got 90kg passanger, and F06 was driving alone.

With 90kg passenger F13 M6 is almost the same weight of F06 M6 while your F13 with CP has more power ... so it's predictable to pull

on bmw web site it is 1925 kg for COUPE and 1950kg for GRAN COUPE (25kg diff).
So i think these two cars are very comparable in term of weight.

Well ... no they are not.
According to BMWNA. M6GC is 180lb heavier than M6 Coupe (4430 lb vs 4250 lb) and it makes sense since GC is 4" longer and has 2 extra doors with lots of extra DC motors (ie soft close, door handler/lockers/windows) . It has longer drivetrain shaft (made by pure steel) and lots of extra materials that add weight. In addition the set of OEM rims (433M) by themselves are about 10-15 kg heavier than 343M.

If money is no object, then Competition Package > Non CP

With 343M forged wheels....and if you have extra cash you can opt for the BMW Akrapovic M Performance Exhaust System as well

All European websites seem to think the M6 F13 vs M6 F06 is 1925kg vs 1950kg.

But the 650i is 1870kg vs 1940kg according to bmw.de's catalog - a 70kg difference.

The Japanese site for the M6 says 1910kg and 1990kg for the M6 F13 and M6 F06.

The American site for the M6 is 1928kg vs 2009kg, which is 81kg.

As such I suspect that while there are different ways of measuring, with and without driver, fuel, CCB's and forged 343m vs cast 601m and 433m wheels, the real weight difference is about 80kg.

When I thought it ws 25kg my next car was going to be an F06, but now I think it will be an F13

Finally one of my friends has 2015 M6 F13 with No competition package.
We even have almost the same spec (san marino blue, armaro brown interior, carbon ceramic breaks, the same wheels etc)

Here is the roll race result:

Another Friend bought himself "daily car" which is M4 F82, yesterday he installed full akrapovic exhaust and here are the results with races:

with not competition package M6:

with me:

when I was driving next to them my vbox showed 8.2seconds 100-200 and 17,5seconds 100-250km/h.

It is cold weather (5-10 degrees of celsius) so mine car right now can easily achieve high 6 seconds 100-200 and high 12 second 100-250.

Competiton is really worth it's price.

Good runs but noway M4 can beat M6 (with or without CP)...
I am driving stock 2013 M6 and I know what I am talking about
I think your friend needs to be trained to know how to drive his M6

Yeah I don't see how M4 can beat M6 with/out CP.

well, for me it was also unreal but the videos are proove what happend

I remember like a half year ago i was vboxing stock 2012 M6 F13 and it was 8.5s 100-200 and 17.8s 100-250. (with passanger in 24 degrees of Celsius) - these are comparable results for the stock M4.

Driver of M6 is OK as I Know, he was on many ///M Power, AMG track days so probably he knows what he is doing

Anyway, I have never seen a video in whole internet with comparation of CMP vs Not CMP M6 F13. Some of people said that CMP pck was over priced and there is no reason to buy but....

...I my opinion Cmp package is "stock 0.5 Stage ecu" tune which is under warranty.
My F13 competition has 615hp and 720nm on dyno. that is+40hp and +40nm over official technical data.

Frankly when it comes to just HP, between CP, non-CP and the 30 Jahre they are all too close to make a big difference. Sport auto had a CP with faster acceleration times than the 30 Jahre.

But CP is not just about HP though, BMW tuned the suspension, which is what made the difference for Sport Auto's ring times.
