M5 gauges

Does anyone know why some f10/11 has these dots on the speedo gauge? I know us spec cars has it for mph and kmh but I can't figure out why som euro spec cars have these dots does anyone know???? I found this offer at 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲.𝗱𝗲:

My Australian spec (based on Euro spec) car which also has a KPH cluster does not have those dots either. Not sure what they're about?

No - these dots are on the analogue dials themselves, not in the lower section of the cluster near the odometer.

Yup,on UK speedo its 10.30.50.70.90 etc on there all the way round.

They look like they are just markers for where the needle would point at the listed kmh speed. For mph the markings on the bezel itself line up with the mph speeds, but not so with kmh so you need the dots. I guess they only made one cluster and the bezel marks are for mph.
