Cotswold BMW - Cheltenham

Always had good service from Cheltenham BMW so decided to get a price for a Brake Fluid change and Inspection 1.

Not due until September but getting them to do the oil and filter in June so decided to get everything done at the same time

Brake Fluid change - £110
Inspection - £50
Oil Change - £68 (I supplied the oil & filter)

Really good prices and have been assigned a master tech who works only on M cars, great for my OCD.

Give them a try if you are local.

Shrewsbury is a Rhybrook dealership and is the absolute worst I’ve ever dealt with. The mechanics take the cars out and abuse them (I whitnessed this happen to my brothers M3) I also watched the valeting guys “J turn” a 640 in the car park. I wouldn’t buy a winning lottery ticket off them. Blue Bell Crew are far better.

Exactly the same price for me brake fluid change at Eastern BMW in Edinburgh

That's also a good price for the oil change (with you providing the oil and filter)

£68 for oil change is just the labour rate. if you provide oil and filter. would be a 30 min job max, so expensive are BMW rates - £136 per hour!!

Most main dealers charge £250-£350 for an oil change which is a huge charge but I bought the oil and filter from their parts Dept for £115 (9 litres)

This makes an oil change £183 which is excellent especially as its done by the main dealer and recorded in the I Drive

I think the labour rate on the Brake Fluid is reduced to £90 a hour which is not cheap but not the end of the world compared to about £60 for a non-main dealer.

When selling the car having all of the work done by a main dealer in my opinion makes it that little easier to sell, plus you get 'goodwill' when needed a lot easier than not stopping with BMW.

Given the cost to run these cars £30 a hour labour above an independent is peanuts

I paid £163 for oil change together with scheduled diff oil change at BMW dealer in Surrey. That's for labour, oil filter and the diff oil.I supplied my own BMW approved engine oil.
Brake fluid was £80 in '18 and due in Jan '20.
The engine oil was £90 castrol edge 0-30,three four litre cans and some oil left over for top ups if needed.

Thank you and I can't wait.

Been many years of sacrificing stuff for myself for the good of the family and I finally have a chance to have the dream car that I have always wanted.

Has been a massive cull at Coopers, booking an oil change I was informed that Banstead and Tunbridge Wells had all ceased trading so as I had been using Banstead it has to be Waddon, which is fine as it's on the way to my mum and sis. Waddon is now overloaded with cars from the other places.
When booking a service of any kind i find it's more straightforward just to go there and talk to them than phoning. Was quoted £73 for labour and the filter with me supplying the oil.

Ideally always use the same person to build a relationship. Good prices and service plus they know never to wash your car!

I'll have to start anew as there's no sign of the one from Banstead there but a good neighbour told me that he knows a salesman at Waddon from his dealership days.

Did you not get the service all done before you agreed to buy it?

Make sure you remind them not to wash it otherwise they will give you the complimentary swirls and scratches package
