Alarm issue

My alarm goes off when I walk away from the car. Doesn't happen every time. I have read that it could be a bad battery but then wouldn't the idrive give me an error. Does our car come with an alarm sensor under the hood? Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was the fix?

Checked battery and it's good. I'm thinking it's the motion sensors. Where are they located or how do I disable them permanently? When I double click the lock button on my key fob it doesn't happen. I know that disables the motion sensors.

The motion sensors are up top where the lights/sunroof switch are. Maybe you got a fly/spider in there or something

I do have my radar detector mounted right next to that.

Move the detector and see if it happens again.

I moved it and same thing. If I double click the lock button via key fob it doesn't happen.
