My filler cap has broken the rubber strip that holds it to the anchor point so looking for a new one.

Here's a later test on E5 fuels for our M5's in particular the 99RON ones and as you can see Texaco Supreme P+ is the one to go for which has no engine destroying ethanol, that's the one I'll be putting in my car in spite of the further trip to the station that stocks it.
V power I will avoid altogether with too much ethanol and detergents in it, Esso is a question mark with Momentum but Texaco has consistently come up with zero ethanol. Enjoy.

Ethanol is hygroscopic, it attracts water and absorbs moisture from the air causing condensation and leads to corrosion of car parts and damages plastics, bad news for M cars over the long term.
Tesco fuel is handy when you do your shopping then fill up with Momentum but as the fuel tester says watch this test if you value your M5 engine.

My tip is to use Texaco Supreme + 99 with Redex petrol additive to protect the fuel system and injectors.

Facts on Redex petrol treatment, it's Britain's leading petrol treatment additive. I use it with every fill up now and ready available from Costco in 4 bottle packs but make sure it's for petrol E10 and E5 as there's diesel treatment packs too.

Out of all the fuels the new Texaco 99 Supreme has come out with no engine damaging ethanol added while Momentum 99 is back to 5% ethanol according to the last test above.
To recap again, bp with too low RON and no tech back up only with how good only their 'bean cafe' is lol, vpower has too many detergents and a lot of ads saying how good it is for Ferraris pulling the wool over eyes, jet is only 97 with a fancy name, esso is great for race cars but look at the above report with kerosene mixed in pump fuel..! is it in their 99 also? costco only 97 is an unknown you can only pay with a card, no cash accepted WTF? and a bit cheaper b/c of wholesale bulk, total only 97 with no gen on it, and any others like applegreen, sainsbury, asda etc I don't think are up to it.

Esso Supreme 99 is still my favourite, closely followed by Tesco Momentum 99.

Full 5% ethanol in the Tesco 99 in the last test, virtually nil in the Texaco. The Esso 99 price

Went past a Shell station today, posters all over the place with special formula V-Power AND even normal ULD keeps your engine clean and performing like new.
Going past a BP station it's contribution was of posters saying 'Wild Bean Cafe' that presumably makes your engine tick over nice
