CBD Topical Treatments (Salve Sticks)

Who's tried it?

CBD Salve Sticks in particular.
This is like a deodorant stick for the people who don't know.

I have shoulder pains and considering this a temporary solution and maybe even something to eliminate completely...

I personally have not tried them, but I know people that use them. They speak very highly of them. (pun intended....kinda, I realize there is no buzz associated with CBD)

Me too. And this is what I hear too lol. No psychotropics and just for the healing aspect which i'm curious about.

May have to give it a shot.

I use Myaderm cbd creme. In the cbd pain groups people rave about it. I'm now a believer as well. It's not cheap however.

My wife has used a CBD ointment on her knee. At first she thought it was great but I think the initial hype influenced her opinion as she doesn’t talk much about it any longer. It’s very expensive - $44 for a small can of it, although I understand you don’t need to use a lot in each application. Give it a shot. If it helps (or you at least think it helps) then great.

One of my friends in the gym swears by it although I don't know what brand he uses. Said it helps his elbow tendons tremendously.

Thanks all, this is definitely because of gym related shoulder pain. Specifically bench press... All responses have seem to be in the positive and my pain has been persistent for weeks.

Will have to try this out.

I'm sure you know what you're doing, but make sure your form isn't compounding the issue. Scapula retracted and tucked down to create a natural arch.

Also I see a lot of people neglect the opposing muscle group. Rear delt work helps balance things out. I actually do "face-pulls" between my bench sets as your pectoral muscles want to pull your shoulders forward if they have had more time devoted to them vs. The shoulder girdle work that pulls everything back inline.

Fortunately I was taught by some guys who were professional in their sports, and started out on the right track. My personal best was around 430lbs, but now I'm 44 years old.....and I rarely go above 315 for reps. But have never had any shoulder injuries....so I consider myself lucky!

For sure, technique and form is not something overlooked with me.

Although i've done facepulls from time to time, i'm incorporating it a lot more if not almost every time I go due to how beneficial it is and the AthleanX videos amongst all the others I see.

Anyhow yep in my 30's and all them shoulder pains and aches are slowly start to show themselves as we age :/

Take a break from dips/benchpress and do my fly variations instead. Not using heavy weight.
