Wheel Spacers 10mm or 12mm??

Now I have read all the threads and checked for pics. My issue is, on my last cars when I have run spacers I always end up rubbing when no one else does. I have a 13 M5 stock height and 343 wheels. I wanted to run 10mm all around to play it safe with any rubbing issues. Then I read the MS spacers had issues in the 10mm sizes. Would this be consistent with other brands? I just want the wheels to come out a bit more to look nice. Im afraid the 12mm up front may be too much. Pleas let me know your thoughts, thanks!

I've got H&R 10mm all around with no issues. But, I've got 601s with stock tire sizes (265/295) and lowered on KW HAS. I've got no rubbing at all and l like the way it looks. I probably could've gone with 12mm but then I think I'd have rubbing issues. Didn't want to chance it but overall I'm happy with it. Hope that helped you out a little.

Thanks guys! So it looks like either way I shouldn't rub with the 12 or 10. Maybe 12 in the rear and 10s up front? I dont want the fronts to stick out too much. I dont know why I have the worst luck with rubbing in any of my previous cars. I know if theres a 1% chance of rubbing I will be that guy. So maybe 10mm all around is my safe bet. Just need to research issues with the 10mm unless you guys can recommend a manufacturer with no issues. Thanks in advance!!!

Edit: I think I am just going to do 10mm all the way around. Are manufacturers still having issues with the 10mm lips breaking? Thanks

Where did you hear about the issues with 10mm MS spacers? I've had a 12/10mm set up on two F10 M5's and never had an issue. With this setup you will not rub; I was also on H&R and zero problems with rubbing or the spacers.

Hey Bud, i found a thread where a member posted that the ring on the 10mm spacer broke off. And there are issues with the 10mm sitting flat against the hub or the wheel. I want to run 10mm all around, I think for me they will be best. There are alot of members running the 12/10 setup and cant find alot of issues, so maybe it was a defect caught in early manufacturing.

I wasn't aware of that; good luck with whatever setup you end up going with.

Plenty of threads on this you can run 15mm all round no problem, My car is running 13mm Rear and 15mm front about 12mm lower than CP stock (CP height), so 22mm lower than a regular M5. I will probably go 15/15

I have run 10/10, 12/10, 12/12 and now 15/13

Same set up I'm going with based on your review and advice!! I'll see how the front 10mm look after the drop then go from there.

I had 12mm Fronts and 10mm Rears on KW HAS on stock 20" 343's and it worked very well. The KW HAS work very well and still are on my car today but with a 21" wheel setup.

Yup nothing but good things I hear about the HAS setup. I just don't want any rubbing so for now 10mm all around and I'll play it by ear afterwards on the front based on looks.
