Evian Bottled H20

I know I am wasting money as we buy 1 gal of H20 that is filtered, RO, UV and carbon filtered for 30 cents. It starts out as municipal wter.

I just am attracted to the fact that it is bottled from French alps and takes 15 years to get to the bottling plant. Yes I realize a sucker born every minute. But I have really looked into it it is legit. There are those that are not. The Hawaiian one is not.

I also like Mountain Valley H20 bc it is bottled in the U.S.

Hard for me to justify paying money for bottled water. I'll go without water for hours in the heat before paying money for water. Then, I will splurge $5 on some stupid iced coffee. A fool lives for every second or something like that

Guilty. I only drink drink bottled water now, exclusively Evian, Volvic or Buxton . I blame my parents.

What's worrying is the plastic contamination in tap & bottled water these days. Irreversible damage done to the environment?

Are you serviced by IRWD?

Absolutely not! Bottled water and tap water are regulated by different agencies. Tap water actually has more stringent reporting requirements, such as providing customers with a printed water quality report each year. Bottled water suppliers are not required to provide such data, but some may do so on request. The water provided to you by IRWD is clean, pure and ready to drink at a fraction of the cost of bottled water. Before choosing an alternative to tap water, compare data contained in the IRWD Annual Water Quality Report with water quality data from the bottled water or filtration device you are considering. The decision to use bottled water or a filtration system should be based on taste or other aesthetic considerations, not on fear of health risks.

Poland Springs was my fav when I lived in New England. Can't get it out here in corn country. I have a Brita jug and use it with the tap water. We have a whole house filter and a water softener system, so between all three the water is fine. I only drink it in coffee and when I'm riding anyway. Otherwise I prefer unflavored seltzer.

My 4 favorites are:

Fiji
1907
Evian
Mountain Valley

I would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Fiji and Evian are always available locally so that's what I get.

You all crack me up. The water bottling industry is a worldwide giant and scam that is pulling water faster from this planet that we can get back. Top it off with over 80% of all bottled water is owned by 3 companies. Nestle - Coke - Pepsi. Nestle has like 10 labels of water and its all the same water with a different label and different price. Oh and guess what they are using the same water that comes from your public water taps. They pay around 3 dollars for every 1000 gallons of water and turn around to sell it to a sucker of a country for 1-6 dollars per bottle. Hahah. Anyone that wastes there money on bottled water cracks me up.

Are you serious? Have you never been to FL with the sulfur smelling tap water? Or out here in the cornfields where if you leave a glass of water standing for a day the bottom of the glass is brown with sediment? Tap water leaves a lot to be desired in many parts of the country. (Ahem...Flint, MI)

The biggest issue with bottled water is the bottle itself. Plastic packaging is a major issue that needs to be addressed soon.
