Got Bimmercode, nice!

All,

did the blue tooth coding with the bimmercode app. trunk close, dvd in motion, Active sound turned off, side mirrors close with door touch or by holding lock key for a second and close my trunk with key.

Anyway, anyone gotten the DVD to play full screen and not leave the 2 inches on both sides black? if you use split screen the movie plays all the way to the left end of screen while map is on other side. I just can figure out how to get the whole screen to play the Muppets for my 10 yr old.

She's 10, so while I'm driving she gets to watch a movie and we talk, better than using her iPad with headphones on lol

I used bimmercode to turn off my ASD , it was super easy! For the side mirrors close, is that a preset code in there or do you have to do custom through the app? It's been a while since I last used it so I forget, thanks!

It's in the app, I just went from top to bottom in the app. I did it all while learning and it took me about 25 min. I didn't touch expert mode portion of app at all.

So all you had to buy is Bluetooth adapter and download the app?
I saw something in the app about buying like a full version or something...did you need to need that to code everything in the M5?

Yeah you have to pay $26 for the full app, but worth it

Sounds interesting, with Carly you have to pay an annual subscription and for the adapter.
Which adapter can you use for bimmercode?

That's for just coding little things on the car. BimmerLink I just bought let's you monitor in real time and read and clear codes, was and only another $26. You can export errors to pdf which is cool

So what are the differences between Carly and Bimmercode? Sounds like possibly cheaper? I want to do similar basic code changes like you mention... DVD in motion, cameras at any speed, battery replacement coding, etc.

It seems like none of these "consumer" coding apps allow any in depth coding, say for changing vin number in a replacement module?

I don't have any experience with Carly. I almost got it, but they say you need their blue tooth unit to work correctly. BimmerLink let's you monitor in real time, I got the 2nd app BimmerLink let's you read and clear errors and make a dash with cool logging of what you choose
