You are spending a lot of money
With the mechatronics did you find any build-up on the areas where the sensors read ?
I have removed the mechantronic and posted some pics to show the areas that need to be cleaned.

I have removed the mechatronics unit.
There is heavy build-up at the sensor pickup locations.
I am going to clean these areas and re-install the unit.
There is a complete seal and bolt kit that needs to be used in this service repair.
I'll update as I move forward.

When this happened to me the only fix was a different DCT and I swapped in my TCU to keep the VIN aligned

I have access to services that can re-write the control unit and I can then program it to this VIN
When you say you had this issue.
Did you have material present in the oil as well ?
or build up material at the position sensor locations ?

You'll need access to someone with a factory tool "E-SYS" that can program control units. It is possible to re-code the control unit.
Not many places have experience, but they are out there

Forgot to upload this pic as well.
This sensor pickup location is attached to the physical gear itself.
It also has material collected on it that can influence a reading
To note, my clients issue is intermittent.
If this cleaning works, it would be a good idea to perform at time of DCT clutch upgrade.
We'll see by end of this week if the cleaning service works or not.
Fingers crossed

Autologic is good but you need factory level tool
I have autologic as well, but does not compare to ISTA and E-SYS

schnell1982 It would be great if you could upload all of the original high resolution photos elsewhere, forum attachments get smashed and its hard to appreciate the fine details at the size they are.

I don't know what you mean.
I can resize them to be smaller.
I am using the same resize that I do for all my posts.
Are you using a phone app by chance ?

No, I'm browsing the forum on a PC... the forum severely compresses and resizes (smaller) photos you attach. Hosting them elsewhere would be great.

Original full resolution pictures would be most helpful for those needing to deal with this in the future so details can be seen. 500x375 pictures are postage stamps by today's standards.

I had all of the above. It was cleaned etc. but rod 5-7 issue persisted. Those are hall sensors that measure rod movement. If the sensor was so bad it wouldn’t even adapt. The issue with the rod 5-7 is under load at WOT just near redline. There is something else going on.

We also tried ISTA-P and AutoLogic but could not program the VIN on a
used DCT. It’s the EWS issue.

That is interesting.
I do agree there is something else going on and not just build up material.
I have some more images of the material.
On yours, was there a lot of the sensor location ?
Did you have other codes aside from 5-7 ?

You are able to post pictures as large as 2400 x 1500 in JPG format. I think that's what he means. Then we can make them that large on our computer screens if we wish to see detail.

No other codes. There was some gunk.. but then again the DCT would adapt fine (meaning the sensors were working).

Did you take the valvebody apart and clean internally by chance ?
I spoke with SSP today and they mentioned that the valve body needs to come apart. I am performing that now
