This is not helpful! The Porsche is so fast against the M5 but I will be putting the kids in the M5 and safety would be a concern. I appreciate everyones input in this post as it has been very helpful. Since I am now leaning to the M5 if anyone wants a 997TT let me know and I will put you in touch with my friend.

911 isnt built to take on an SUV impact to the rear. It has 4 seats but I always saw it as 2 and room for a briefcase.

Scared sh*tless to put my son back there.
I think my message din come out right. What i meant was becos i have kids, i go for the M5. Becos the kids are tiny, u need child seat, which takes up even more space. If i don't have needs for space and comfort, i would buy a smaller car.

That being said, I really like the Porsche brand but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on the 911TT (or Panamera TT, for different reasons) in the two years since my last M5 due to ingress, egress issues and the killer combination of performance and comfort offered by the M5.
Two word, new generation. With the new 991 being out this year(turbo soon to come) The 997 is already 'outdated' and 'last gen'. That's why the deprecation are so much.

If you don't have kids, it's a no-brainer.

The interior is so nice in the M5 the turbo just looks outdated it has the same seats as the 996. If you park a turbo next to the M5 the M looks like its going to eat it. I really do not know

I sold my 997.1TT for the M5. I needed space for my kids and the Porsche didn't work for me. Both are awesome cars but the M5 pretty much does it all. Now if you need AWD that is a different story.

How old are you? M5 attracts a better class of ladies than a 911 turbo. (if you are over 35)

911 says you like to drive fast, bang one night stands and move on.

M5 says you own a company, enjoy everything in the Robb Report and have deeeeeep pockets.

The very best quality women look at you in an M5 as husband material. They see the 911 as getting used like a few sorority ladies I knew in college....

M5 wins in my book, plus it's way more comfortable to get a BJ in.

No comment on the "Rear Seat Entertainment Package," but I would be surprised if 5% of women would know or care the difference (with a casual glance) between the M5 and normal 5 series. Ditto 996 v 997 or Base 911 v. Turbo.

Therefore, if looking to spend $100K on attracting women, I would suggest $33K on a showroom clean E60 M5, $33K on a showroom clean 996S and $34K for meals and entertainment.....

That is all true. But you get the best of both worlds with the M5 - you are happy with a super car and it serves the purpose of the 5 series for the ladies.
