Basically this... Oil cooler held up at customs for weeks finally got it in two weeks ago (after a month) and found the engine woudlnt' turn over.

Approved 33k engine 1of4 in the US, now after dropping the engine this past week they found a dent in the radiator and have tried to order 1 of 1 radiator in the US and that 1of1 could be a listing mistake and they'll know in a day or two if they have to get one from Germany which again could spell another month of sitting.

At this point I'm pissed... There's a nice old F430 at our local dealer I want to get while this GTR is being built up.... I'm doing bad things with this GTR maybe limited speeds and mod options are best for me

Insurance bent me over the table with the GTR lol its about 4.2 times what my New m5/m4 were lol they know what I'm doing with it hahaha

My buddy just got a 599 GTB- now that's a fine piece of Italian art.
Really man, I bid 157 on a used GT3 that had an MSRP off 140ish and the seller said nope he was holding out for 160 something.

I still want one lol.

Yeah this GTR is a fast POS lol it rattles, makes weird noises, but its fun using this as a wrecking ball. I was going to stay at FBO, but f* it lol just gonna drop a shepp trans and turbo kit on it, see what 1k whp looks like

Me too. A few months ago, a gal working at Motor Trend wanted to go out with me, but the feelings weren't mutual. From a motor enthusiast's perspective, I'll always regret not going out with her

I should've taken one for the team...

Vic,

I've been meaning to ask you two things:

What are the options and what do you consider the bare minimum of options, and;

Were you able to move them off of MSRP? If so by how much approximately?

I have not been able to get an open allocation on the Z06 with the A8, hence I'm exploring other options.

My car:

Option Description
2015 911 GT3
0Q White
68 Black/Alcantara®, Guards Red Stitching
082 Extended Range Fuel Tank
342 Seat Heating (Front)
474 Front Axle Lift System
490 Sound Package Plus
509 Fire Extinguisher
581 Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell
602 LED Headlights incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System
643 Sport Chrono Package incl. Porsche Track Precision App
690 SiriusXM® Sat Radio/NavTraffic/NavWeather, HD Radio Receiver
749 Leather Interior Package with Decorative Red Stitching
840 SportDesign Steering Wheel in Leather
CGG Sport Chrono Clock Dial in Guards Red
EER Interior Package Painted i.c.w. Leather Interior
P07 Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)
P23 Porsche Communication Management incl. Navigation Module
XFG Instrument Dials in Guards Red
XSX Seat Belts in Guards Red
XXB Door-Sill Guards in Stainless Steel, Illuminated
XYB Fuel Cap with Aluminum Look Finish
XYG Center Console Trim Painted

I guess for me, the options that are must have are the front axle lift and the leather/alcantara interior package with the 18 way seats. I dont need the PCCBS but if the car had them I would be fine. In reality a bare balls car would have been good too but this was on the ground so I grabbed it. Most of my other options are cosmetic in nature eg the gauges, belts and LED's. I got it slightly under msrp but about 1k only. Dealers dont have to cut the pricing since the demand is strong on the 2015's and the allocations are drying up.

My car was 155k msrp with all the goodies.

That's about it. LEDs are nice though but not necessity.

Bish-I got a line on a couple of them if you want one. Would need to act pretty quick.

Great build that one Vic. Well done. And thanks for the insights re: purchasing.

Well if you want MY "must haves" they would include PCCB, LED and Sport Chrono.

As you know...my reasons for liking certain things are not always the answers that you look for.

For instance:

I use PCCB and Sport Chrono to look at pics of my car next to yours and say "Wow! Mine really looks cool!"-hahahahahahaha!
