Now I know what to possibly expect. Your right, it's about the culture, and it starts from the top. I'm guessing that it just must be a Porsche North America thing. I wonder if Porsche in Germany, or Porsche in the UK are different or better. I know I'll keep the M5 as long as she treats me well, and I would like to get either an exotic or dedicated track car after the M5 in a few years. I really didn't know anything about Porsches until you and Vic came along. All I know is, if I ever do get a P-Car I'm calling you and Vic first. Lol!

I was just thinking, if that dude does agree to let Porsche give them back the car he should do like this guy.

This guy has been mistreated by Porsche NA and the dealers. If you read the whole story you will see.

I can't find the 2013 report but in 2012 Porsche came in 4th in the luxury brands behind Cadillac, Jaguar and Acura for "Service" (ie: repair). Looking for the customer service rankings. Can't seem to find them.

Cadillac (852); Jaguar (849); Acura (838); and Porsche (836) - See more at: http://www.jdpower.com/press-release....IFF6EmFh.dpuf

Yeah, of course stuff happens. It does with every manufacturer of any kind of product. And perhaps this is an isolated incident but when you see EVERYTHING you get the feel for the climate over at Porsche and the way they respond when dealing with this stuff. Maybe it is a particular rep? Who knows. But I think there is a lot more than one individual involved. This guy is so gracious. Even when he replies or posts videos he always says "I feel bad because Porsche can't tell their side of it on the video" or "I don't want to cause anyone problems". He has NEVER said one foul word until now.
Agree he was screwed! JD Power goes directly to customers not the dealers. Can't take a small sample size to make an evaluation. The 9 year award is on the brand voted by customers. Google it dude it's not my assessment. Again you have purchased 3 cars which says something about thr brand right? You didnt buy three Yugo's. The dealer can fix his problem easy buy the car back, and they can deal with Porsche HQ.

It's all about the dealer. My old dealer on LA bought back my horrid 745i because of all the issues, and gave me a check for 6k and said sorry which I didn't ask for. The owner spoke to me, and said you have been a nice guy and never bitched out my people for a car I didnt build. Clearly he said customers that are dicks he will not give them a thing, and can careless about going to court because it will settle for less than they would pay you for being nice. Pay a lawyer 400 bucks an hour to get get less not a good deal, and remember we're dealing with billion dollar corporations and our one purchase will not stop the machine. Sorry I work at one of them and know the game(:

You are looking at a different rating Henry. Look at what Stealth posted.

The problem is EXACTLY that. It is an EASY fix but they refuse to step up and take the high road.

We're on the same page I agree! The only point I'm making customers voted them best in brand 9 years in a row nothing more. I can care less about rating I buy on experience, and business is not based on one off's. A video does not tell you all the facts, and what was offered trust me. A billion dollar business does not risk brand on a easy fix. Dont alway believe the Internet that Al Gore created(:

L-A-Z-Y Hahahaha! I do sound wound up huh?-lol! Not really. Just expressing that just because a brand is known for luxury that it does not make it better than others in terms of service in every case.

Yeah...for brand...I have that JD Powers survey downstairs now. It asks very specifically about the car not about the dealer.

Bingo! Write a letter to Porsche about the dealer and if they get enough they will lose allocations. BMW is the same, and they lose bonus money my buddy is a fleet manager in socal. I wrote a letter one time, and she called me and said please don't do that again because they all get nailed. And I wrote a good letter about her, but it hot her pocket. Not lazy, but I was agreeing with you. JD Power surveys the dealer has no control of the process, and I never trust the stealer. But they're nice to me so you should treat them better(:

btw...I will be deleting these comments soon. I just wanted to express that surveys don't tell the whole story always and of course stir up a bunch of crap on here as usual-lol!

I don't truly care enough to write letters.

Just wrote a freaking book on here. PLENTY!

Porsche is rated highly on reliability but I think that has a lot to do with their lack of technology and their focus on simplicity. Less things to go wrong.

In 08 I bought a RRSSC (and another in 2010) over a more expensive Cayenne GTS strictly based on how we were treated. The two dealerships were basically in the same parking lot. It was my wife's car and I was pushing for the GTS but it was how they treated us that made my wife choose the RR. I had owned 2 Pcars long before a 928 and RS America and have always wanted another just never seems to fit at the time. My next maybe a GT3.

As for the service department there is nothing that compares IMHO to LR as to how you are treated (comparing 3 different dealerships and have never been treated as well anywhere) BMW seems to be a crapshoot as far as service (3 different as well)

Nope. Wait for the 981 Cayman R or better yet, maybe Porsche will release a Cayman GT3. THAT would be perfection
