I, unfortunately, never got to test drive a manual M5, but up until this car, I have only driven a manual. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the DCT. Way more convenient for being a DD and it does shift stupidly fast. In manual shift mode and sport plus on the throttle it is a lot of fun.

That said, something is still lost without a manual, and I do miss it. Whether in a car this big it would be worth it is something I can't speak to, but obviously others can and have.

Every thread about a manual M5 always devolves into this us vs. them stuff. I don't know why everyone is so defensive about their choice, whichever it is. Come on people get over it.
