HOLY SHIT! I don't feel confident enough in my skills to take traction control off so I always leave MTM on with Sport + for all settings. This story is making me feel like I made the right choice.

Glad you're OK, better go buy some lottery tickets, my man!

I should say... adding to my luckiness (Or blessings I should say)

Insurance decided to value the car nearly $10k above what I paid for it... enough to cover all my mods, taxes - everything I've spent on the car plus some money down on the next one.

... GTR?

Impressive pictures... I also have not been brave enough to take the traction control setting off... Seeing this, I am glad I never did... Glad you are ok. Congrats on the pay out and looking forward seeing your next ride...

Thanks for sharing your unfortunate story. It's a valuable lesson for everyone to take heed to. I'm glad to hear you're ok. God bless you. Continue to enjoy life; don't give up. F90 M5...

This reminds me of a crash I saw of a E36 M3 wrapped around a tree and all occupants survived with minor injury. Its the reason I got one. As bad as that is, you are ok and thats why I keep buying BMW's.

That said Ive tried traction control off at speeds under 35 and lost it so bad I wont ever drive with it off unless the roads are totally empty and Im feeling brave.

Wow, glad you're okay. That's as bad of a crash as I've ever seen one.

Huh, you were the 35i to M5 guy. The power really wasn't enough? My wheels spin even in Comfort mode with 590lbft of torque going to rear.

Yes that was me

It wasn't that the power wasn't enough - it's that the car was sluggish when I first picked it up, and it was, the 35i felt much quicker (I had both for about a week and did back to back drives)

After changing spark plugs, O2 sensors, and some new rear tires (less DSC intervention), it fixed the issue, the car was very very powerful.
