Also I was running the V2 with lower torque and now have the V1.2 which was the map I used on the dyno day Not saying I would win but it would be a better comparison |

Yeah and thats true, my stage 2 is a good bit faster than stage 1. but not by nearly as much as that video. I'm not sure whats up with the cars in that but to pull like that, the Stage 2 would have to be pushing 800+ HP.

I never really got on with it though as you had to be at 5500rpm+ to feel the difference and unlike some I don't live up there |

I have AMS catted downpipes paired with OEM resonated midpipe and Eisenmann Race rear section. I also have a DME stage 2 tune and the car is a whole new beast.
I debated between catted and catless for a long time. I like loud cars and right now the car is pretty loud even with the catted downpipes. But I think catless would give me the extra pops and cracks that I crave. I still can get cracks on upshift now but not all of the time. The advantage of the catted is that I have very little smell. I get a tiny bit at start up and that's it. The E-race is known to drone a bit between 1600-1900 and the catted did not make this any worse. But again if I go to catless it might be really bad lol. My one question is this: Is removing the cats better for the engine in terms of heat exposure? I know they get super hot so removing them would allow the exhaust gases to escape quicker. Does this make any real world difference to the life of the engine etc?

In the UK, a car would almost certainly be illegal to drive as it would not meet emissions regulations.
It's also not as though I ever get into my car and think that it needs more horsepower so I have never even considered doing it. |
