HTC One and Bluetooth Audio
Anyone have one of these phones yet? I picked one up yesterday and I'm not able to get bluetooth audio to work.

Same exact problem here looks like it is streaming but no audio comes out. I am an iphone guy and test a lot of phones, this is the first android phone I have really thought I might trade for but this is killing it.

I have the HTC One and have no issues streaming audio via bluetooth. I am using the native music application, spotify, or google music. I just made sure I had selected "audio" in the BMW Idrive Settings under connections > bluetooth

I'll be buying one tomorrow and testing it out. Most phones with Bluetooth (really just about any phone with BT) should stream audio without issue.
@McVaughan @Type11 Just ensure that the proper settings are selected, because if you just connect it with BT and immediately try to stream, that won't work. You have to Bluetooth and hover over your phone then go into the "right" menu and make sure you have the right boxes checked, then attempt to stream by going to audio, go to the "left menu" and choose the correct source. Try again and post your results.

I wonder if a software update is required on the car for this to work since cmhsam says it works for him. My build date was 8/12. Hmmm.

Negative, enable audio over Bluetooth.

Yeah I had all the settings rights in the iDrive for A2DP as I try a lot of phones out on it but it just refuses to play spotify or built in music player. My build date is 6/12 and the bluetooth update on the BMW site is not for my build.

It did finally start working on its own, no idea how, however it also stopped working again. I'm back to my iPhone which works without issue.

Yeah I got the HTC One also. Too big of a phone though (screen size).
The M5 likes to use the iPhone 5 with the iP5 cradle. I just used Pandora for the first time, worked very well. The tech on the F10 M5 is really outstanding. However, there is one thing that bothers me. When you insert the iPhone 5 into the cradle, it disables Audio over BlueTooth, and you need to go to Connections Menu to enable it again.. everytime.. annoying. |

I did manage to get the One streaming via bluetooth, however it was not consistent. The next time it refused to work on bluetooth audio. My iPhone had no issues ever, and the GS4 that I am also using now has occasional hiccups.

HTC One is by far the best phone I have ever had and I am not changing it. BMW needs to fix the problem. I had a 7 series loaner recently and it worked great in there. It also works fine in my 335d. The M would connect the phone piece, but the audio option would not work.

I am still unable to stream music via bluetooth. The box for audio is uncheckable.

I just bought a HTC one and I am having Bluetooth issues. Everything connects, Phone part works just fine. Bluetooth Audio would connect but you cant hear anything. Not sure what to do.
Went to AT&T store and tried another HTC one, same issue. Also tried streaming in both of my cars. No luck. |
