Bootmod3 stage 1 + XHP Stage 2, Anyone Tried?
Hi guys,
I'm currently running my f10 m5 with bm3 stage 1, akrapovic exhaust, and PG intakes. Very happy with bm3, even with stage 1! However, one of my colleague had TCU mod by XHP and looked very satisfied with it. Anyone tried XHP TCU tunes with Bootmod3, MHD, or other DME Tunes? I'm not sure if these DME tunes are compatible with XHP TCU tune... Any advice or experience would be great help for me to decide for go/no go with XHP! |

They are definitely compatible and compliment each other well. With the extra power from the bm3 it is good insurance having the extra clamping psi provided by the xhp tune. If you ever go stage 2 or beyond the benefits are even greater when you use the custom flash settings to change shift characteristics due to the significant increase in power and torque. I have used them together in several different configurations and alway been happy.

I'm tempted by the xhp tune. All my other cars are manual transmission and I know little about the DCT. I thought I read a post about the increased clamping force could lead to increased heat that could be problematic. Any downside to the xhp? Thanks!

Faster quicker and more crisp shifts in auto mode, doesn't shift all lazy, and feel of more torque in the mid range do to the extra clamping force of the clutch.
