RIP Robert Redford
One of the greats. His movie Spy Games is one of my favorites.

Yes, one of the greats.
The first movie I saw after separating from the Army in early 1970 was Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. I clearly remember (and was surprised) when Butch and Sundance yelled, “Shiiiiiiiiit!” when they jumped off a cliff and into a river. Things had changed a bit since I left home 3 years prior.

I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in a Drive In the day I got my first new (used) car... 72 Chevelle SS Malibu. In 1978 ish.. I'd trade the wife's M50 for that car.. Although she may have issues with that trade 😀.. Meh...
Great movie, great memories..

Early in his career Redford played "Death" in a Twilight Zone episode; Season 3, Episode 16, originally airing in 1962.

There was something about Redford that the others, even Eastwood or Szwarzenegger, never had. He used to walk around central London getting away from Hollywood for some peace and quiet mixing in with the locals and having a beer in pubs by the river.

He was one of the greats. I fondly remember The Horse Whisperer, among his many good movies.
