Basic English, my friend. Look up and understand what vanity means before you pound your chest.

Jeez! WTF? You guys are worse than women with their claws out. Call it pride, vanity whatever. It’s being comfortable in your own skin. Some guys are cool with shaving their heads. Some aren’t. I don’t see any issue with doing something to delay hair loss. In no way would I equate it to boob jobs, botox, etc. lighten up and help the guy. I would never do botox, plastic surgery, butt lift but if I was losing my hair, you bet your ass I would try something to correct it.

Nope. My mother dropped me on a marble coffee table when I was an infant. I have a nice dent in my head. Explains a lot.

Well, you could just try a merkin to see how it looks...
I had a bald high school teacher 40 years ago that described his condition as "further along in the evolutionary process" and I like to go with that. Have you ever seen an alien in any of these SciFi movies with hair??? |

You can try Nutrafol but it's a supplement, meaning it can't stop male pattern baldness if that's what you're experiencing (see a Derm for their assessment).
Finasteride is the first line (it actually prevents DHT formation) but comes with potential side effects including mood/libido issues. Been on it a few years myself. Topical Minoxidil is only indicated for hair loss at the crown, doesn't work at the hairline. Minoxidil pills help but are usually Rx as an adjunct to Finasteride not on their own. I'm an M.D.

OP, what happened at age 33 when it suddenly started to recede, or slightly before? Stress, change in diet, change in exercise?
For the record, God made a few perfect heads. The rest (including the ones that got dropped on the table like cmyx6go ) he covered with hair. I'm considering some of those newer lotions for hair removal. When I nick the back of my dome, it's so hard to get the styptic pen in the right spot to stem the blood flow. Some of the head shavers that say 90 seconds to do the whole dome, I'm skeptical.

Theo Von spoke highly of the 2 hair transplants he had. I think Beckham and Tom Brady and a bunch of others all went that route.
I noticed about 12 years ago that my individual hairs seemed less thick, I hadn't eaten any meat besides fish for 7 years. I decided to get back to eating red meat and my hair returned to it's normal state. |
