Aftermarket wheels or refinish?

Hey all - I'm considering either aftermarket wheels or refinishing my 601's. I'd really like to go to a 315 tire in the back but I know I'm pushing it w/ the M5 fittment 601's on the comp pack suspension.

So with that said, what aftermarket wheels do you guys have? What do you guys recommend w/o spending $7k on wheels (don't need the pay to play jokes, I bought my car cash; just have different priorities)

Looking more for brand recommendations as I know specific models/looks are subjective.

Lastly, have any of you guys had your oem wheels refinished? What was that process like?

Thanks!

I've been thinking about aftermarket wheels for a while but honestly OEM looks the best. I had the stock ones powder costed gloss black. Process is pretty simple; get them dismounted and sent to the paint shop, think it takes about a week and then remount and balance and your done. One thing I would recommend is to get them ceramic coated before putting them back on the car (easier to wash the brake dust off)

Looking at the wheels from this side I can't see much wrong with them.A good polish or cleaner may get rid of brake haze and they'll be looking sparkling.

I tend to agree; I like my 601's but the 343's are iconic. Such a "muscle car" feel to them. I'm thinking about making the switch, plus the performance benefits of the 343's (forged, lighter) make it a worthwhile swap.

They look good from a few feet away but up close, there's a few nicks and some very minor curb rash. I guess that's expected for a daily driver.

Definitely going to ceramic coat them, I've already purchased the coating (Geyon), just need to find time during the next wash to remove the wheels, give them a solid wash/cleaning, claybar, polish w/ some light compound polish, then ceramic coat. It's a helluva process.

I removed mine one at a time, placing the wheel on a flat cement mixing plastic board to prevent stains on the driveway/ground.

Savini Wheels

Looking more for brand recommendations as I know specific models/looks are subjective.

My brand recommendation from personal experience is Savini Wheels http://saviniwheels.com/

I've put styles from their Black di Forza & SV-F Flow Form collections onto my F10 M5, GLA45 AMG & ML63 AMG and have had great experiences with them all.

My Alpine White F10 M5 has 22" SV-F 2's in Gloss Graphite on them. http://saviniwheels.com/sv-f/sv-f-2-new/

You can see what mine look like on IG @thef10m5

I wanted a concave mesh look in graphite and tried the SV-F 2's in 22 inch as the Savini owner had 22's on his F10 M5 and suggested I try it. I added spacers on mine for a slightly beefier stance.

I debated with getting wheels too but decided to get the stock 343m wheels powder coated gloss black. These wheels are beautiful!

I hate how the matte black looks when the brake dust hits..

I have 21” HRE rims. Love the look of 21” wheel. With PS4S, traction is awesome. I fine the stock rims too small.

I think 21's are too big for me. I prefer a slightly smaller, meatier look.
