I got my first DM light at the weekend, restarted the car and it was gone without trace.

Is the diagnostic check free, even if out turns out to be nothing?

Should I get used to these occasionally, unless they affect the way the car drives?

Shame...year and a half without a peep....glad I paid for that warranty.

Personally I wouldn't worry unless its a regular occurrence, I would say the check is free if there is an issue if not then you would have to pay.
