Revs are erratic on morning start up

Morning all,

Hope all is well.

Need some advice on possible reasons why the car revs are erratic and stuttery on start up in the morning only.
Sometimes it complete shuts down. Once I restart it's perfectly fine.
Furthermore, after the first morning start up, the car is fine through the day.

Any idea on what it could be?

Many thank as always in advance.

Hey brother, I had this same problem and cleaned my MAF (shockingly easy) and then also has my O2 sensors changed out.

My RPMS were jumping nearly 1000 RPM and then it would cut out.

Once I did this, all is better.

^^ Be careful using anything except compressed air on the MAFs - lots of stories of people having to buy new sensors after using solvent cleaners.

Unless you use CRC MAF cleaner which is a dedicated product for the job.

But you are absolutely right.

I only use CRC...clean over a cardboard box or paper, etc.

Let them dry out for a good 30 min at least
