Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe
I recently installed Catless Downpipes that was coupled with the Turner Muffler Delete and stock resonators and I found the car had this very high pitched raspiness to it. The cabin drone was too loud and not tolerable for passengers so I went on a mission to find an exhaust system to replace my turner with but before doing that, I had this suspicion that my stock resonators may be the culprit to the high pitched raspiness so I decided to fit on a Magnaflow resonated X pipe and I am amazed. I got the idea from my ZL1 that when had aftermarket headers added, it was extremely loud and the MF R X pipe made a huge difference.
I will follow up with more videos but here are some comparisons. In cabin noise is practically gone unless WOT and it's still very quiet and the noise is behind you rather than inside the cabin resonating. It sounds so much quieter than stock while cruising yet outside the car still sounds beastly. There is practically no drone compare do before. The noise now is much more deeper and refined compared to any other system I've heard. Hard to explain. PN Magnaflow 11386 Stainless Steel 2.5" Oval Muffler - Fabrication had to be done to go 3" OEM piping to 2.5" and back out or use a 2.5 to 3" adapter. So far no performance issues. Cold starts are still loud but no longer high pitched. Just a deep rumble

I added the P/N to the first post. As for waste gate rattle, it is definitely still there but I agree it isn't as loud as it used to be. Used to be very loud since I have intakes, catless DP, and straight pipes.

Car sounds great, good work. I have actually had this same thought in my head for some time. The only difference is that I was thinking that a 3 X 3 Resonator would work better. I have the same thing in a larger Magnaflow setup. Now I am going to get under there and see if it works. Thanks.
