Interior updates

My new ceramic touch remote just came in. Pretty excited to install it. Going to feel a little more like a new car to me.

You can spend thousands updating to ceramics but this particular one made sense to me.

What else have you updated?

Upgraded all controls to ceramic as I haven't seen many M5s with this option. The idrive controller was also on sale from the local dealer for $250ish and I sourced the other bits from another member. Finished it all off with Piano Black trim. Good Luck with your updates!

Picked mine up for $150

Keeping my eyes out for a deal on the electronic wheel next. I'd love to know if theres a swap for a newer idrive infotainment unit and display.

Do you have a part number for that carbon fiber shifter? Or is that a wrap?

Nice work on the Idrive controller price. I know they started out north of $700.

Not a wrap - I believe it's part 61312343709

Upgraded all my controls work the ceramic version as well. The black piano trim was already installed as a factory option in my M5. The ceramic controls are on of the best upgrades, besides the M Performance steering wheel with race display 👍🏻

Yes those larger i-drive controllers are the biz, i changed mine for a larger one though it's not ceramic and it's a good feeling when you can wrap your hand round it rather than the tiny finger tip factory one.

Great update. I was just researching that steering wheel last night. Appears like the price has come down a little but haven't been able to pull the trigger. It's also an update that I can't really hide from the wife!

Just get the steering wheel 👍🏻 and if the wife has any questions, just tell her that's the same wheel, but now you turned on the Xmas lights 😂
