Blue Smoke at 160K Miles

It's about time. I have to be honest, I've been pretty fortunate considering the mods I've done over the years. I was recently having fun with an untuned G82 M4 Comp. For those interested, he only saw tail lights (lol).
At any rate, when the driver caught up to me, he stated there was a good amount of blue smoke coming from my exhaust. Being a long time forum member, I've seen this could be due to piston rings, valve stems or turbos.

What route should I go in assessing the issue? Should I try an oil catch can or go straight to a compression test? I've needed to add 1 quart of oil in between oil changes for the last 25k miles or so this is probably a component of the issue.

Mods are:
Stage 2 BPM Tune
Fabworx Catless DP's
Eisenmann Full Sport Exhaust

I get it but I've never had any smoke. Had the DP's installed over 100k miles ago. I forgot to mention it does it even under light throttle as well.

A slight blueish smoke during cold start. However I've coded out the full blown cold start so I'm considering cold start as the first 10-15 seconds.

common culprit on these engine would be the valve seals for oil seepage.. it's not DIY friendly but doable with engine still in the car. not sure whether the exhaust or intake seals are more common for leaking. Looking at the engine though, the intake seals would be PIA to get to with the engine still in the car.

but compression test would be smart to rule out any deeper engine issues. It's probably going to be those valve stem seals though on n63/s63

Welcome to the club! Mine burns about 2-3x as much as yours, still within normal limits though.

I haven't worried about it, but I do check it often and top off as needed.

Both of mine were full of oil on the intake side. Stuff wears out.

Are you doing them yourself? If so, there's a youtube vid of a guy doing them on an N63. Its a good vid but the PCVs go onto the S63 valve cover differently. You stick them in the hole about 45 degrees counterclockwise then twist once it is in the hole to line up the screw holes.

Yes it will be a DIY project along with changing out the spark plugs. I saw the video and took plenty of notes. Thanks and I'll update the thread afterwards
