No M5's in San Diego????

So I've been in San Diego all week long and I haven't seen not one single M5. Seen several M3/4's Is San Diego more of an M3/4 city?

I'm sure you guys are out there hiding. Lol.

It's a holiday when I see one around the SF Bay Area too. I'm assuming the crap roads deter the owners from driving them.

I prefer to drive my S-Class, so I guess I'm one of them too.

Lol - I wondered if that was the case. I can tell you I would have a hard time driving mine being lowered with coil overs.

yea one of reasons why I bought it is because I don't see them around. Whenever my commute is over 10miles, I take my m5. If it's one of my closer locations, I take the lexus. I find it takes quite long to get the m5 to the operating temp. Makes me wonder if all these rod bearing talk is due to people stomping on a cold engine especially with 5w40.

You're doing right. I surpassed 150K miles by never launching or stomping from a dig. Always allowing the temps to get up before going over 4K RPM.

Yeah, I believe it. Plus you have the bigger 21in wheels. It pains me when I inevitably hit one of these damn pot holes. Where do you live?

I'm always waiting for a cop to pull me over and say that I'm drunk, when in reality I'm just dodging potholes like it's my second job.

An article came out recently stating that California has the worst roads in the country. So much for the road tax they charge on gas huh

I live in Atlanta, GA where the roads are not that bad. Our freeways are very nice. Downtown is where you have to steer around land mines.

I've probably seen 2 here in the last year. I don't mind the roads too much in mine.

I’m in San Diego. Funny thing is I never used to think I saw F10 M5s til I got one. Now I see one every other month just driving. But there are some here lol. Chances of seeing mine are low since I work from home and basically just drive to the gym and back most days, on some weekends I would be driving and out and about so might be seen. But every other weekend I’m out of town usually towing the e36 M3 track car to different track events.

Sweet. I thought the $6-7 per gallon for premium gas was the reason. Lol
