FS: F10 M5/M6 OEM 408M Alloy M Wheels 19" x 9" - OEM Snow Wheels w Hakka R3s

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Hi all,

I have a set of 408M OEM wheels for sale with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3s mounted / balanced. There's minimal wear on the R3s and a blemish on one of the wheels (fourth picture down at the top of the wheel). They are true and have served me well. I'd be happy to provide any additional pictures if desired.

These are an excellent set of snows which made my F10 a reliable option in the New England winter. The R3s are nice because they're made from real rubber instead of synthetic which makes them perform better than average in most winter driving conditions.

I'm selling this set because my F10 M5 turned into a 971 Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo.

I'd prefer local pickup but am open to shipping provided the buyer covers the cost.

3618.

For those unfamiliar with tire date codes, this means they were manufactured in the 36th week of 2018.

For reference, tread depths are about 6.5mm and 7.5mm on each respective pair in the set. Super high tech measuring system readout attached.

How does the DCT react to these? When I had my Michelin pilot alpins my DCT hated it. Shifted super slow and would hunt gears

I never noticed any difference in the way the transmission behaved with these on. They're narrower in the rear than stock so there was that, but nothing noticeable outside of it. The prevailing theory on snow tires is they're better if a bit narrower since they're more able then to cut through snow vs floating on top with a wider tire. Where I am outside of Boston we rarely have much actual snow to contend with, but the Hakka compound definitely gave me a lot of confidence in the car when it was cold I didn't have in the summer set (pilot sports).
