is there a way to control the valves wiht the Akra system?

or is it left up to the OEM settings?

as i see akra do a sound kit for some models but not the M5 system. is that because its vacuum controlled and not electronic?

can anyone explain the differecne between the vacuum and electis systems of valve control?

ArmyTrix

Just finished up installing the Armytrix system on my M5 and wanted to see if anyone else has this unit. Honestly not impressed at all with the system. I feel like its just a bit louder than the stock setup. Wondering if others have the same opinion. I guess I need to throw in anther $1500 for DP's to really get the sound I was looking for!

You can control the valves with an Exhaust Meister. It works with the OEM exhaust, as well as all aftermarket exhausts that include valves such as Akra and Dinan. It installs in the trunk, between the factory valve controller and the exhaust valves, and is controlled by an included remote control used to open and close the valves on-demand. You can also program the buttons in the rear view mirror to handle these functions for a cleaner operation. In the default setting it acts as a simple pass-through, allowing the valves to be controlled by the ECU. Installation takes 10 minutes or less once you familiarize yourself with various how-to videos.

Anyone looking for brand new VRSF DP's for an F10 M5? I just purchased Oct 15 and now have decided to go in a different direction. I purchased the Cerakoted high temp version which are $699. Message me if you want to discuss as I am open to offers. Company takes a %25 restocking fee to return.
