Need Help! F10 M5 Headlight Problem
Hey guys I wanted to post this to see if anyone had the same problem as me with the upgraded LED Umnitza headlights. After I installed them and had them codes my halos on driver side headlight kept going out or not working with full brightness. I made sure all pins and cables were intact and not pinched so I'm completely lost on what it could be. I contacted umnitza already just waiting for a response.

So I just received my LED umnitza head lights in late August.
I installed them on the M5 and everything looks great, I haven't had a chance to code the things because I just put the car away for the season. Is the Halos loss in brightness a side affect after coding? I would hate to have any issues after waiting 6+ months... |

I just installed mine last week and had them coded. So far no problems. Umnitza has been pretty good about getting back to me fast with questions, so I'm sure they can help you out. I bought it from them for the warranty. It does sound like something might have come loose inside.
When I first installed the passenger side, the turn signal wasn't working. I opened up the board underneath (with the 2 screws) and there were dip switches there that adjusted the model year and left or right options. Putting these on the correct settings fixed the problem for me. Please keep us posted on how this turns out.

This is what Umnitza had told me back in Late April:
The positive news is that they identified a minor issue with the lights that they resolved in time before production was completed. "The other positive news is that we are getting a free TMS board with every single F10 headlight. Normally these headlights came without boards and we had to tell our customers to buy the TMS boards with gold tips. Often the customer needed some additional support on that because on the passenger side, it was a particularly tight fit. Now, that has been resolved." I'll definitely keep you posted! As we know new iterations of electronics always have issues / bugs. I do know Oneight in Brooklyn specialize in headlights but I doubt they are familiar with Umnitza products. Hopefully this 1 year warranty can do the trick... |

Yes, these were the switches. Seems to control the side of light and model year configuration.

Hey guys, sorry to revive an old post. I’m having the same exact problem with my Umnitza light on my driver side as well.
M5_Adis Did you ever get this resolved? |
