World Record

F85 X5M 776whp/824wtq

Owner wanted a little more power since a 10.9s @ 128MPH wasn't good enough.

They are shooting for 10.7s now.

To get full potential best to Flash the car. Can stack the flash with JB4 like what i have. With JB4 only you will have fueling issues above 22psi with CP.

What will get more of these 800whp+ m5s into the 10s and possibly 9's if they cut weight and do other mods is improving the 60ft.

These m5s are running around on stock 20 inch tires with tiny sidewalls providing limited flex resulting in a small contact patches...

What they need is an affordable rear brake upgrade (downgrade?) that is smaller in diameter so that m5 owners could mount an 18 inch or even 17 inch wheel/tire.

Consistent 1.5s would get more of them into the 10's and possibly 9's....with that much power on the backend...and of course cutting weight.

The rest of the drivetrain won't support stickier tires... once that is figured out 1.3-1.4 60' is very possible.

Please elaborate on drivetrain, Do you mean axles? Diff? Driveshaft? All of the above?

Axles and Driveshaft upgrades exist already. We know the diff bracket breaks so that needs to be beefed up. Next item beyond that is the diff itself.

Interested in Pure turbos for my N63TU but cannot find as much info on that platform. Had Pure Stage 2 on my N55 and loved it. Could I expect similar results for the N63TU stage twos? I've heard the crank and rods are the same as the S63TU? I have E85 available as well. Thanks!

You can compare on www.RealOEM.com if the rods, crank, etc are the same but even then neither of those stock items are bulletproof.

Yea I wouldn't expect bulletproof. I wouldn't even want any more tq down low honestly, I'd just like some more breath up top.

That'd be a question for Ghassan Automotive or Troy Jeup who are engine builders for multiple BMW engines.
