The comfort seats (as a front and rear set, sometimes with door cards) come up on eBay quite a bit, around £1000, so don't discount a car with the normal seats (which are perfectly fine in my experience anyway). I bought a CP with normal seats and had this intention; I have found them fine and not bothered with swapping.
Things like LED lights and HK (done properly, not just dropping the speakers in) are a whole lot more expensive to retrofit. My car has both, and I wouldn't be without either. Rear camera, Internet, Speed Limit Display, Apple Car Play are all easy retrofit. Surround Cameras is a lot of labour but the coding needed is little more than for Rear.

How/what is the process to retrofit something like apple car play, that's a thing I'd been keen to do (even in my current 520D possibly) but doesn't it require some kind of special screen, or is the 'BMW Professional Media' wide screen enough? |

Apple car play is more straightforward. All M5 have the wide screen, and I believe it is just a coding job. I am more confident this is just coding. I think someone on the F20 or F30 groups said widescreen is needed for Apple Play, but I don't know why.

I'm looking for a Blue Competition Pack car with split fold rear seats. Black leather M seats not white, surround view and as much kit as possible for around 30K.
Maybe wishful thinking. |

I don't think you will find any CP at 30k, but wish you the best of luck in your search.

Looked at a lot of F10 M5's, sadly non ticked all the boxes, although one of the ones on my original shortlist did come back on the market after about a month (not sure what happened there...). Anyway, I ended up buying an F86 X6M - I know, looks wise it's not everyones cup of tea but it works for me How about yourself Sarjoo, still looking? |

Good price with great spec but the wheels have all been painted which is odd I can imagine a lot of the wheels were damaged and the dealer or owner did a cheap repair and just sprayed them instead of getting the diamond cut as per the factory standard. Really bad form on a car with this spec and age Last edited by OneExtra; 04-01-2019 at 07:26 AM.. |

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201903256254769 Not an AUC and a little steep price wise (considering it’s not an AUC) but will be under BMW warranty and could extend with BMW insured warranty upon expiry. Decent spec low miles CP car, Black with Silverstone, M Multifunction seats, B&O audio, adaptive LEDs & Surround view. |

Hows your new car going? Have any of you driven the latest gen of 5 series or the F90 M5? I happen to have a G30 520D loaner at the moment, pretty darn impressive with the interior cabin and the tech toys in it. Its kinda got me thinking, and I know its no M car, but a new gen 540i M sport might be pretty tasty... |

I think cars with this spec are commanding higher prices than other cars, there are 2 more with the same spec for £51K and £48K so dealers are chancing their arm at this level, but they also know that the spec and condition is worth the premium to the right buyer. I guess it depends, if someone wants one of the last F10 M5s produced with a huge spec and excellent condition they have to pay the price. Average cars in good condition are a good £5K less but these cars were about £8K less when new. If I was after an M5 then I would like all of the better options that these cars have and resale would be easier. I am sure there is room for negotiation, with all cars you get what you pay for. It would not bother me that it wasn't AUC providing that it was still within the manufacturers warranty period and had full service history. |

That car is horrendously expensive. I paid £41k for my 66 plate CP with 19k miles from BMW...over 12 months ago!
The only differences in spec on my car are 343M wheels (regular 20s), HK and regular seats (that I find more comfy, personally) and no split-fold rears. I have heated rear seats and steering wheel, too. On the F10, Driving Assistant package excludes the most useful option of all, Adaptive Cruise Control. We don't get the option because the M buttons take the place of the additional CC buttons.
