F10 M5 vs. SHO (update: Merc E55 AMG solo pass)

I was recently in Norwalk, Ohio visiting family and friends and went to two Test and Tune events at Summit Motorsports Park. The events were held Wednesday, August 16 and Friday, August 18 2023.

A nice group of guys, who I became fast friends with, sent me a clip of me racing a modified 2018 Ford SHO. The fellas I spent most of my time chatting with that Wednesday evening were Steve and Conner.
  • Steve had an exceptionally clean, consistent, and nicely modded 2006 Mercedes E55 AMG.
1/4 Mile Pass
  • Conner had a MHD (Stage 1) 2015 BMW F10 M5. His M5 ran well but he had great difficulty launching it.

The Density Altitude was not ideal for achieving best times and seemed to be in the range of 1800-2300 feet both evenings. I made 10 passes Wednesday and 2 Friday. My best passes were: Wednesday—11.4 at 128 mph, Friday—11.3 at 129 mph

Here’s a video clip of me racing the SHO and some time slips are below..

I had fun meeting many great people at this track in Ohio. The track personnel were excellent and track was run exceptionally well.

Navigating less-than-ideal Density Altitude of 1800-2300 feet, you still managed impressive times on Wednesday (11.4 at 128 mph) and Friday (11.3 at 129 mph). Impressive performance!
Thank you so much for good details.
