Yes. Lol. Not lazy driver.

Yes i gap em, then slowed a little at 150ish then he start kept gng again by 165+ 5th gear. I slowed down on the shift thought race was Over but he passed me so i guess race was still on. Only agreed on 60 roll but not speed to end. It was gng fast again but Slowed down at 180's gng on a turn then wasnt fun even on R888 on all 4's

60 is a terrible speed for us [GTRs] lol unless you've got massive turbos. Its cool he ran you though, usually with cars like yours where I'd know you have that good solid top end and long gears, I'd ask you to do a low roll so you blow the tires off, and then even if you are a car ahead you'd likely tie or only slightly recover. There is a turbo civic that weighs like 1900lbs and makes 900+whp on a decent dyno that wants me to do an 85 roll cause he can't hook for shit. I told him 60 would be my highest because he won't go past 150 either [nor would I in a civic death box].


Thats cool you know Omar though I talk to him on the private GTR pages, seems like a great guy.

I think you've likely got one of the fastest M5s out there. I really hope you keep pushing it to really see the limits but given how fast you are I could see just leaving it be. I'm kinda that way now my cars so fast like all I really get to race anymore is like Fully built American cars that know they can out dig me cause they weigh nothing and have massive tires on them, or like your turbo civic there where its beyond silly to be doing 80+ rolls on a car with boost by gear that that weighs close to half you're car.

Couple cars wanted 40 roll
Before 50-55 was good. No spinning. Now spins. So 60 is perfect on 3rd gear for me

This was fbo gtr no turbos on 50 roll got me at 160

That FBO car would in my opinion be the exception to the run of the mill GTR, with FBO parts. It looks to be tuned very well to hang with you. Most guys just slap 3k worth of parts and a off the shelf map, or 1 or 2 revision Ecutek/cobb tune on and call it a day. Thats usually why I try to remind people they are far from created equal when it comes to the tossed around "FBO"

Still even with those other fast cars you've gotta be on the upper tier of all m5s

Yeah and you'd need to be consistently laying down 9.9s or 10.02s to be hanging with a well tuned GTR on decent tires. Could probably catch a few sleeping or that weren't tuned for the strip but with even the least amount of competent tuning a FBO E85 car should be somewhere below 10.6

Really not worth it for all M5s to be running 1/4s we know what x amount of power + little weight reduction + tires and hook will do for an M5 now that its so close to 9s.... Trying to topple that on a platform that you can't just slap smaller tires on or something seems pointless to me and you're just asking for trouble.

Now if more power comes to the platform, new tire setups etc. then I'd say its worth it but right now its really not for a majority of cars.

Yes its not worth for me to do 1/4 only to break things. Lol. I can leave that to allmotor since his a pro on track and im sure ill jst screw time up. Lol.

Yeah people always ask me if I'm going to the drag strip each weekend and granted its been raining, but I often just reply no. How many 8 second passes do I need to rip off? I know what the car can do and don't need to be putting that kind of insane pressure on it when unless I turn it up or buy new parts there won't be any significant change.
