European Delivery

guys, I am doing ED this Spring and I was wondering how did you guys plan your route around Europe, things to see, hotels along the route, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My plan was to definitely go to Nurburgring, Stelvio Pass in Italy and the drive through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France. However, I am not sure how to plan the trip accordingly withe stops and hotels and places to see.
Thanks again.

Just check that the passes are open as they may still have a lot of snow in Spring. Snow in Europe is somewhat late and the best time to ski is around February. Spring skiing in the Alps region is also great and I have skied in the Bormio area which is where Stelvio pass is around March/April. Hope your ED is later than those months.

Check out the various member's European delivery journals - http://www.bimmerpost.com/europeandelivery/

Great ideas in them. Not to mention fun to read and gets you psyched for ED

Do you guys know if I can have guests with me at the Welt when I pick up the car. Planning to have two family members meet us in Munich. Thanks

Yes no problem. You can bring guests into the lounge and along to the actual delivery.
You can also take guest along to the factory tour (just let the folks at the lunge desk know you need more tickets)

Not a problem for guests. I had three (wife and two kids). The Welt was very accommodating and treated my kids (all of us actually) like kings.

Remember to take your first aid kit and warning triangle at Welt, they wont ship those with the car. Also, if you havent gotten a hotel in munich yet, the Sofitel Munich is great.

Thanks for the reminder. I actually forgot about that part. I booked Leonardo hotel for the first 3 days and Kempinski for the return.
