Have long does it take for the engine oil to cool Down to basline after a long spirit drive ?

I have noticed that the temp gauge returns to zero after not much time after engine stop, but rises much quicker if i restart it.

"Baseline" being ambient temperature? If so, probably quite a while. A lot of oil with a sealed, insulated hood on top and the splitter tray on the bottom. If it's something you're concerned about, you could open the hood after such a drive.

If you wanted to be more sure, you could start it back up after a while and access the "secret menu", give it a minute to circulate, and then get an actual oil temp reading (which will go below the minimum on the dash gauge).
