Okay after numerous inquires if I had anything else to sell I've decided to go ahead and let this last piece go from my F06 650ix Gran Coupe. Yes I hear the cheers! LOL This includes the full working Dinantronics ECU and wiring harness for their BMW V8 engines (includes the 550, 650, and M5 and M6 engines). My shop has checked with Dinan and the ECU can be reused by any new owner. Any Dinan authorized dealer/shop needs to just send the ECU back to DINAN to be reset and cleared. It can then been coded to their vehicle's VIN and software loaded for their particular car. New owner just would need to pay the cost of install and software of course (saves about $500 off the price of ECU and another $300+ on the Harness/wiring and mounts from their package per Dinan costs. ("the Dinan 650Xi ECU for the M3. So there are 3 components to the GC Dinan software (ECU, 8cyl harness, software). Dinan won’t offer a trade-in for the 8cyl harness for the 6cyl harness you need for the M3, nor the software…but could reuse the Dinan ECU....which would save you some, however we’d have to first send it in to Dinan to have them clear it for use on the M3.") So there are some savings to be had here.

All parts were professionally installed at Matrix Integrated in Portland in Sept 2014 and uninstalled by BMW dealer in Feb 2014 and are in original condition w/out damage or fault. Should work on any 2013+ 5, 6 (N63TU) series BMW to including the M6 (S63TU) as the tune is software specific. Check M5/M6 fitment.

Also can be recoded for the F80/F82/F83 M3 however new v6 harness must be purchased to be used with ECU component.

PM me your interest/questions.

Do you know if installing a previously used and recoded unit has any impact on either Dinan or BMW warranty? Or do they treat it as new?

M5 looks to be a different part number. I suspect it's a different logic unit as M5 and M5 CP are different as well.

Units are not transferrable without going back to Dinan for flashing since they are ECU locked and the second buyer needs to "pay" for the tune from Dinan again.

OP offered some guidance on pricing but it might be best to call and get the details from Dinan on how to transfer a unit..

^thanks, and I agree that would be the best idea, but I was hoping to get an answer over the weekend given that it could be sold by the time I can talk to someone at Dinan on Monday.

Yes thought I made that clear. My dinan shop has talked to Dinan and the control unit (ECU) will need to go back to Dinan to be cleared/reset. Then can be reinstalled into the buyer's vehicle using harness and hardware. Buyer would need to pay for the tune for whatever vehicle they are upgrading to thru their Dinan dealer. Confirmed this as I originally was going to move this unit from my 650ix (N63TU) to my 2015 M3 (S55) but decided to pass and let it go.

By all means give Dinan a call and see what is required. Should be ECU, Harness, tune. What I am providing above is 2 of the 3. Not sure what Dinan is charging for the software itself but my shop quoted me about a $600-700 off the Dinan price by reusing my current ECU if I chose to swap them out. Hope that makes sense.

Its a Dinan part so if installed by a Dinan dealer and software purchased should not see why not.

ECU control modules are the same; my shop said that the current ECU/control module would work with and Dinantronics Tune it just needs to be cleared and the vehicle specific harness purchased (I have one for a 650ix) and then software purchased AFTER Dinan resets/unlocks/clears it to accept the new vehicle and tune since they're linked to each car.

$3300? One could go get the equipment and tune from Dinan for cheaper. Even if I sold the equipment for $1500-1800 one would still have to pay for the tune itself from Dinan which wouldn't be that cheap I am sure. So I think anywhere between $800-1000 US is reasonable. NOW if you want to pay me $3300 or know of someone who would by all means have em send me a PM and PAYPAL!

I believe after chatting with a dinan rep shop

Ecu is transferable

But they weren't sure if the harness would be ok for a f10 m5. I'll have to call another shop

ECU is definitely transferable. Harness may not be but should as it is for a v8 engine. Am willing to sell ECU separately if buyer wants also just for those interested.
